Introduction
Dream Invent Inspire, Inc. is the brainchild of co-founders Andrew Beers, Derek Jeremias, and JoyeDell Beers—a team of innovators driven to reimagine food production through technology. Their flagship product, The Forge of Creation, combines AI, smart agriculture, and sustainable design to help users grow food year-round in a high-tech, home-friendly system. With backgrounds in consulting, startups, and a deep passion for invention, the founders launched their company with a clear mission: empower everyday people, educators, and community growers with the tools to take food production into their own hands.
Challenge and Goals
When the Dream Invent Inspire team joined the Innovation Forge Startup Accelerator program, they were in the early stages of prototyping. They had begun with 3D-printed components and were navigating major hurdles in manufacturing, design, and electronics. Though they had a bold vision, they needed to align their design with cost-effective materials and manufacturing processes and figure out how to create the custom circuitry needed to support their intelligent grow system.
Their aspirations extended beyond refining prototypes—they wanted to launch pre-orders, design and build a scalable product, and learn what it really takes to manufacture and distribute a complex, technology-driven system. Their early designs lacked the manufacturability and cost structure needed for sustainable scaling, and they were just beginning to understand the complexities involved in hardware production and smart system integration.
Outcomes and Results
The Innovation Forge Startup Accelerator program became a vital stepping stone in turning their idea into a viable product. With support from the Digital Foundry engineering staff and The Corner, the team found trusted partners for fabrication and assembly. They were able to reduce their component fabrication costs by 70%, and significantly accelerate prototyping with more efficient 3D print cycles. Their product design evolved dramatically, with improved materials and assembly methods, reduced part counts, and more efficient material usage.
Equally important was the development of their custom electronics. Initially relying on Arduino boards and breadboards, they worked with mentors at the Digital Foundry to design and source professional PCB components. This step allowed them to begin conversations with PCB manufacturers and take the leap toward scaled hardware production.
With their systems improved and production strategies in place, Dream Invent Inspire is now preparing to open public pre-orders for The Forge of Creation. They’re offering exclusive early pricing to their newsletter subscribers and planning to begin shipping units by fall, with electronics and software packages following shortly thereafter.
Impact and Next Steps
The Forge of Creation is not just a product—it’s a step toward more decentralized, sustainable food systems. Designed to function as a household, commercial or classroom appliance, it provides AI-powered plant coaching, customizable grow conditions, and the ability to deliver living, fresh produce year-round. The team hopes to inspire change in how food is grown, shared, and consumed.
In the next phase of growth, the company is focused on launching its public pre-orders, scaling production to meet demand, and finalizing the software features that make the system unique. They are also working to build long-term partnerships within agriculture, education, and community food initiatives.
The team credits the Innovation Forge Startup Accelerator program with helping them turn a complex concept into a scalable product. They gained hands-on mentorship, developed key relationships in the manufacturing space, and most importantly, acquired the confidence and knowledge to bring their innovation to life. As Andrew put it, “It will be WAY harder than you think. But if you take advantage of the Innovation Forge, you CAN get through it—and it IS worth it.”
